Format:- The Format tab is part of the tool bar for changing shape parameters.
Shape:- Go to the Drawing Tools menu in the ribbon. Click on the Format tab. Look in the Shape Styles grouping of commands. You will see three icons on the right: Shape Fill, Shape Outline and Shape Effects.

Shape Outline:- Shape fills in PowerPoint indicate something that is contained within the confines of the shape. Similarly, shapes have another attribute known as the "line" or the "outline". A line is the perimeter surrounding a closed shape or the line itself within an open shape.
Shape Effect:-With the plethora of effects available in PowerPoint, you can make a Shape stand apart with a drop shadow. Other effects allow you to create convincing reflections, spreading glows, 3D bevel effects, and even soft edges
Word art Styles:-A WordArt Style will automatically apply several effects to your text at once. You can then refine the look of your text by adding or modifying text effects. Select a text box, or select some text inside of the text box. On the Format tab, click the More drop-down arrow in the WordArt Styles group.
Text Fill:- To change multiple shapes or text boxes, click the first shape or text box, and then press and hold Ctrl while you click the other shapes or text boxes. On the Drawing Tools Format tab, click Text Fill and, under Theme Colors, pick the color you want.
Text Outline:-In order to outline text in PowerPoint, first highlight the complete text. Then, click on the “Shape Format” tab. Next, click on the “Text Outline” option and from the dropdown, choose a color for the text outline. You can also choose to increase the weight of the outline to make it more visible.

Group:-Grouping allows you to make two or more PowerPoint objects into a single 'grouped' object that you can more easily move around and manage on your slide. For example, here's how you can group pictures together in PowerPoint: Simply holding the Shift key down, select your pictures. Hit Ctrl + G on your keyboard.
Regroup:-Regrouping: Sometimes, you need to ungroup an object just so that you can make one small change to a particular slide object. Regrouping remembers whatever objects comprised the original group, and reconstitutes the original group without you having to select all individual slide objects all over again
Ungroup :-Select the group that you want to ungroup. Do one of the following: To ungroup pictures, on the Picture Tools Format tab, click Group > Ungroup. To ungroup shapes and objects, on the Drawing Tools Format tab, click Group > Ungroup.
Rotate:-To do so, click and highlight the text box you want to rotate. Next, in the “Format” tab, click the “Rotate” option in the “Arrange” group. A drop-down menu will appear with a few options to rotate your text. The first two options will rotate the text box right or left by 90 degrees from its current position.
