MS Paint

Introductions

Paint is a drawing tool. It is a part of Windows. You can use to create simple or elaborate drawings. These drawings can be either black-and-white or color, and can be saved as bitmap files. You can print your drawing. You can also use it for creating your desktop background, or paste it into another document. You can even use paint to view and edit scanned photos. You can also use Paint to work with pictures, such as .jpg, .gif, or .bmp files. You can paste a Paint picture into another document you've created.

Title Bar:-It is positioned top of windows . It shows the name of the application, document or File name.

Menu Bar:-It is positioned below the title bar. It contains File, Edit, View, Image, Options, and Help etc.

Tool Box:-It has 16 Tools like Pencil, Eraser, and Line Etc. We can you these tools for Drawing Something.

Color Box:-It has many Colors. You can you these Colors for your painting.

Status Bar:-It shows the status of our Mouse Pointer and other options.

Scroll Bar:- [Horizontal and Vertical:-We used this option when the document does not fit in the window or Zoomed

Minimize Button:-With the help of this option you can reduces the window to an icon and arranges it on the desktop. This option does not quit the application.

Maximize Button:-With the help of this option you can enlarges the active window so that it files the entire desktop.

Close Button:-This icon is used to close your current application windows

File Menu Options

New:-The new command is used to create a new file document.

Open:-The open command is used to opens an existing document.

Save:-The save command is used to save the active document or the changes in the existing file.

Save As:-The Save As command is used to save the active document with a New name.

Print Preview:-The Print Preview command is used to Display the full pages.

Page Setup:-The page setup command is used to change the page layout left, Right, Top and Bottom margins.

Print:-The print command is used to print the active document and sets printing options.

Send:-The send command is used to send a picture by using mailer box.

Set As wallpaper [Tiled]:- To set the active File on the desktop wallpaper as a tilled.

Set As wallpaper [centered]:- To set the active File on the desktop wallpaper in the Center.

Exit:-To Close the paint.
Home Tab 
Undo:-To undo the last action or step.

Redo:-To redo the previously undone action

Cut:-To cut the selection from the active document and places it on the clipboard

Copy:-To copy the selection and puts it on the clipboard

Paste:-To Paste the cut or copied contents from clipboard.

Clear Selection:-To deletes the selection but it cannot be paste

Image Option


Select All:-To select the all text and graphics in the selected object.

Paste From:-
This option is used to paste another file into the active file.

SelectAll-
This Option is used Select the entire picture.
Invert selection-This Option is used reverse current selection.

Delete-This Option is used Delete the current selection.

Transparent selection-This command Make the background color in the selection transparent or opaque.

Free From Select-It is used to selects a free from part of the picture to move, copy or edit.

Crop – Crop the Picture so it only contains the current selection. Shortcut for this option is Ctrl+Shift+X.

Resize Resize and skew the picture or selection. Shortcut for this option is Ctrl+W.

Rotate –  Rotate or flip the picture or selection.

Tools 
Pencil - Draw a free-from Line with the selected line with   

Fill with color - Click an area on the canvas to fill it with the foreground color, or right-click to fill it will the background color.    

Eraser/Color Eraser - It is used to erase a portion of the picture using the selected eraser shape 

Pick Color-It is use to pick up a color from the picture for drawing.   

Magnifier-It is used to the magnified the drawing.   

Text-It is used to inserts text into the picture.   

Text -Insert text into the table and Active the text  menu tab. 




Using Text Tab in MS-Paint

Font

Font Style  – This Option is used to change the Font Style.

Font Size  –
  This Option is used to change the font size.

Bold –
This option is used to bold the selected text. Ctrl+B.

Italic – This Option is used to Italic the selected text Ctrl+I.  

Underline –This Option is used to underline the selected text  Ctrl+U.

Strikethrough – This Option is used to Draw a line through the middle of the selected text.

Background    

Opaque – This Option is used to Opaque background in textbox.

Transparent –
This Option is used to Transparent background in textbox.
Colors
Color 1(foreground color) – Click here and select a color from the color palette. This color used with the pencil and with brushes as well as for shape outline.



Color 2(background color) – Click here and select a color from the color palette. This color is used with the erase and for shape fill.


Edit color – Select a color form the color palette.

Using Home Tab in MS-Paint
Shapes
Line -  You can draw a perfectly horizontal, vertical, or 45-degree diagonal line by holding down SHIFT while dragging.  

Curve -
When you drag the pointer the foreground color is used. To use the background, hold down the right mouse button and drag the pointer.
Oval -  You can draw a circle by holding down shift while you drag the pointer.
Rectangle or Rounded Rectangle - You can draw a Rectangle to create a square cornered  shape or click Rounded rectangle to create a round-cornered shapes. by holding down shift while you drag the pointer.

Polygon or Triangle - Click Polygon drag a pointer to draw a straight line Click once at each position where to want  a new line segment to appear. Double-click when done. or click Triangle drag a pointer to draw a triangle. by holding down shift while you drag the pointer.

Right –Triangle or Diamond - Click Right-Triangle drag a pointer to draw a Right-Triangle or click Diamond drag a pointer to draw a Diamond. by holding down shift while you drag the pointer.

Pentagon or Hexagon :- Click Pentagon drag a pointer to draw a Pentagon or click Hexagon drag a pointer to draw a Hexagon. by holding down shift while you drag the pointer.

Right-arrow or Left-arrow - Click Right-arrow drag a pointer to draw a Right-arrow or click Left-arrow drag a pointer to draw a Left-arrow. by holding down shift while you drag the pointer.

Up-arrow or down-arrow - Click Up-arrow drag a pointer to draw a Up-arrow or click 

Down-
arrow drag a pointer to draw a Down-arrow. by holding down shift while you drag the pointer.

Four-point-star or Five-point-star - Click Four-point-star drag a pointer to draw a Four-point-star or click Five-point-star drag a pointer to draw a Five-point-star. by holding down shift while you drag the pointer.

Six-point-star or Rounded Rectangle callout:- Click Six-point-star drag a pointer to draw a Six-point-star or click Rectangle callout drag a pointer to draw a Rectangle callout. by holding down shift while you drag the pointer.

Oval callout or Cloud callout  - Click Oval callout drag a pointer to draw a Oval callout or click Cloud callout drag a pointer to draw a Cloud callout. by holding down shift while you drag the pointer.

Heart or Lightning - Click Heart drag a pointer to draw a Heart or click Lightning drag a pointer to draw a Diamond. by holding down shift while you drag the pointer.

Shape Outline - Select the medium for the shape outline.

Shape Fill - 
Select the medium for the shape Fill.

Solid color  - 
Select the color 2 and draw the shape.

Crayon -
Select the color 2 and draw the shape.

Marker -
Select the color 2 and draw the shape.
Oil  - Select the color 2 and draw the shape.

Natural Pencil - Select the color 2 and draw the shape.

Watercolor - Select the color 2 and draw the shape.

Using Home Tab in MS-Paint
Size – Select the width for the selected tools. Draw the shape then highlight the size option.

Colors :-
Color 1(foreground color) – Click here and select a color from the color palette. This color used with the pencil and with brushes as well as for shape outline.
Color 2 (background color) – Click here and select a color from the color palette. This color is used with the erase and for shape fill.


Using View Tab in MS-Paint

Zoom in
in on the current picture.

Zoom out –
Zoom out on the current picture.

100 % -
Zoom 100% on the current picture.


Show or hide

Rulers –
View and use rulers to line up and measures object in your picture. 

Gridlines –
View and use gridlines to align objects in your picture.

Status bar –
View and use status bar at the bottom of the window.

Display 

Full screen – View the picture in the screen.

Thumbnail –
View the picture in the thumbnail window.
